Portrait of Diana
The task was to create a portrait of a person who works as an architect, is in love with Kyiv, runs a book club, and implements this spirituality into the design of the environment.
I created her as a siren with plumage made from the roofs of the architectural structures she loves. Other parts of her body are assembled from architectural elements from her designs.
To play up the value of craft and her attention to detail, a puppet-like atmosphere and stop-motion style were chosen for the animation.
Sirin stands on a crystal aqueduct from which grows an artificial island with a book roof.
Diana sweeps the dust off the book - this is how she revives the interest of young people in Ukrainian literature. In clouds of dust, park paths are born and unfold - her specialty is urbanism. The tracks are the frame of the roof wings.
