ActorNetworkTheory // VR EXPERIENCE
An experimental VR game for the Christoph Winkler Company, designed to challenge and reconstruct the traditional mechanics of sight.
It is not just a game, but a laboratory for "New Optics" — a world where the laws of perspective and light are rewritten.
As the Lead Designer and Director, I developed the visual logic and environmental philosophy, while the engine was custom-built by Danylo Sherekin.
Designing the Gaze
The interface is the world itself.
We moved away from standard VR templates to create a bespoke visual language where the "eye" of the player interacts with matter in non-linear ways.
Every asset and every shader was engineered to serve this new optical ritual, turning the act of looking into an act of creation.
The project stands as a testament to the synergy between visionary design and technical execution.
My role involved orchestrating the visual narrative and spatial choreography, ensuring that the "Design of Meanings" remained consistent across every interactive layer.
Danylo’s custom-built engine provided the structural freedom necessary to implement these unconventional optical solutions, allowing us to bypass the limitations of commercial frameworks.
