AB MALA USQUE AD OVO

A descent into the architecture of self

In the silence between the pixel and the palm, we lose our footing.

Ab Mala Usque Ad Ovo is an immersive ecosystem designed to transform the gallery visitor from an anonymous observer into an active explorer of their own psyche.
Through a synthesis of 3D animation, metaphorical tools, and spatial navigation, I build environments for "digesting" complex emotional states.

Roles: World-Building / Art Direction / 3D Animation / Curatorial Design

Design of Meanings:
Field Therapy

At the heart of the journey lies the Egg — a vessel of transformation and divine mercy.
Instead of searching for answers in the noise of the external world, the wanderer partakes in a tactile oracle.

Within the two halves of the shattered Egg, one finds small paper tickets: fragments of questions that refuse to be ignored.
These are not merely words, but keys.
They unlock the silent language of the 42 metaphorical gates, turning each image into a mirror that reflects the viewer’s true, unmasked desire.

The centerpiece 3D film re-imagines the Fall of Adam and Hawwa as a strategic gift of experience and divine wisdom. Utilizing Motion Capture, I conducted a digital reconstruction of emotional states — studying the nuances of human movement to translate complex psychological archetypes into 3D characters.

This work is a synthesis of cinematic vision and collaborative art: it integrates the painterly works of Julia Valtanen, collaging her analog textures into the digital fabric of the film to blur the line between the organic and the artificial. It is a meditation on the beauty of becoming, where even the most broken fragment find its place in the light.

THE EXHIBITION: CURATORIAL DESIGN

As both Curator and Artist, I designed the exhibition as a physical "Operating System" for the soul. My goal was to dissolve the "glass" between the viewer and the artwork by uniting analog paintings with digital layers.

I constructed the space to function as a laboratory of self-reflection. From the large-scale video projection that breathes upon the walls to the physical distribution of metaphorical gates, every element was calibrated to transform the gallery into a sanctuary of "Conscious Projection." Here, the spatial navigation becomes an act of presence, grounding weightless digital surrealism within a tangible, architectural reality.
